Encouraging Sports for Charity
SHKP is dedicated to promoting sports for charity. In addition to being the title and charity sponsor of the Sun Hung Kai Properties Hong Kong Cyclothon, the Group also holds the title sponsorship for the Sun Hung Kai Properties Hong Kong 10K Championships. The Group also supports a variety of charitable sporting events, including The Community Chest Corporate Challenge and the Hong Chi Climbathon, fostering a spirit of generosity among the public and helping people in need.
Fostering Sports Development
Beyond sponsoring sports events, the Group supports the SHKP Supernova Cycling Team, which provides systematic cycling training to underprivileged young people with a passion for the sport.
In addition, the Group promotes sports in the community through GO PARK Sai Sha, a sports and commercial complex that officially opened in early 2025. Equipped with over 10 international and professional-grade facilities, the complex collaborates with multiple sports associations and renowned sports academies to offer courses for popular urban and emerging sports, encouraging families to enjoy sports and have a healthy lifestyle.
Promoting Public Environmental Awareness
To promote environmental awareness and foster a love of nature, the Group and Green Power established the Love Nature Campaign in 2011, integrating learning with outdoor exploration. Through activities such as beach and countryside clean-ups, school visits, competitions, exhibitions, training sessions and teaching materials for educators, SHKP aims to encourage students and their families to help conserve the environment.
SHKP and Green Power have jointly developed Nature Rescue, Hong Kong’s first free mobile app focused on cleaning up Hong Kong’s countryside and coastal regions. The app provides a platform to connect members of the public and mobilize them to participate in clean-up activities while enjoying Hong Kong’s natural landscapes. In recent years, Nature Rescue has collaborated with The Point, SHKP’s integrated shopping mall loyalty programme, to promote an unconventional kind of green consumption.
