Mentees and mentors from the Strive and Rise Programme explore emerging sports at GO PARK Sai Sha

Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP) welcomed mentors and mentees from the Strive and Rise Programme to the soon-to-open GO PARK Sai Sha last Saturday for an exciting day of emerging sports. The event provided a fantastic opportunity for the mentees to expand their horizons and discover their personal interests and potential. Participants also enjoyed a delicious lunch amid the stunning surroundings of GO PARK Sai Sha, creating unforgettable memories just in time for the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

On the morning of the event, around 70 mentors and mentees gathered at MTR University Station and took a short 10-minute ride to GO PARK Sai Sha. For many, it was their first visit, and they were captivated by the scenic beauty of mountains and sea.

GO PARK Sai Sha provided the participants with the chance to try their hand at padel, pickleball and outdoor climbing. The facility boasts five padel courts and Hong Kong’s only two outdoor pickleball courts. Under the guidance of professional coaches, the participants showed great enthusiasm for the sports. Some mentioned that although it was their first time playing padel, it was easier to learn than expected, and looked forward to more opportunities in the future. Following the sports sessions, everyone enjoyed a delightful lunch at the SPORTS bistro.

As a strategic partner of the Strive and Rise Programme, SHKP has supported the initiative for two consecutive terms with over 200 SHKP employees volunteering as mentors each year. SHKP is excited to continue its involvement in 2025, with over 220 employees already signed up to be mentors. SHKP will also continue to make a donation and are ready to organize various activities for the participants.

Blending elements of nature, GO PARK Sai Sha is a new 1.3 million-square-foot landmark for sports, entertainment, dining and leisure, offering a relaxing and enjoyable experience for all ages. Its one million-square-foot diversified outdoor sports park offers both popular and emerging sports, and the 300,000-square-foot park-oriented development is equipped with a variety of family-friendly and pet-friendly facilities.
