Towards a Learning Society
Developing a happy reading culture – SHKP Reading Club
Reading is the keystone of a learning society. The benefits go beyond preparing young
people to join a knowledge-based economy and improve Hong Kong’s international
competitiveness. Importantly, reading also stimulates ideas that increases empathy and
fosters shared values, all vital to the spiritual health and strength of the community.
