Fostering a Diversified and Inclusive Workplace
We promote gender diversity in our workplace actively. We also provide training in diversity, inclusion and anti-discrimination to ensure mutual respect and understanding. During the reporting year, we achieved 32.5% female representation at management level and we employed 485 people with physical or mental disabilities as well as 755 people from ethnic minorities.
Attracting and Retaining Talent
We attract and retain talents to maintain our competitiveness. We provide opportunities for young talents through Summer Internship Programme, Apprenticeship Schemes and Management Trainee Programme. Additionally, we support the Greater Bay Area Youth Employment Scheme, recruiting 15 graduates selected from more than 250 applicants from leading local, mainland and overseas universities.
Unleashing Our People’s Potential
We provided different learning channels to our staff. During the reporting year, we delivered around 7,600 classes, seminars, webinars and online programmes, totalling more than 216,000 training hours. Quality training programmes with additional focus on ESG-related topics are provided to strengthen employee’s understanding and best practice. Kai Shing and Hong Yip have established KS Service Excellence Academy and People Development Academy respectively to identify employees’ direction and develop their careers.
Striving for the Well-being of Employees
We provide a Hearty Hotline service that offers 24-hour counselling and emotional support from professional social workers, psychologists and counsellors for employees in need, especially during the pandemic.
