Promoting a Reading Culture
The SHKP Reading Club enriched its ‘Read for More’ online reading platform by developing more content to connect and inspire young people. A three-month online campaign, titled ‘Read at Home with You’, was launched to encourage students to continue to share the joy of reading.
Exercising for a Good Cause
Despite the cancellation of its two signature Sports for Charity events, SHKP remained committed and made extra donations to support underprivileged children and other youngsters. Together with other SHKP Sports for Charity initiatives, a total of HK$9 million was raised in 2019 to support eight projects, benefitting over 10,000 people.
Sharing Good Deeds with the Community
The Group leased land for the development of a large-scale transitional social housing project, United Court, in Yuen Long to help ease the housing shortage and enhance the living conditions of the underprivileged. The project will provide 1,800 units and benefit 3,600 families upon completion.
